A press event is for the people who will retell your news in their own words: journalists, editors, bloggers. Each of them needs a fact, a shot and a person who can answer questions. We organize press conferences and press tours and build them around what the press will see, hear and take back to the newsroom.
For Kcell, we ran a press tour for the 5G launch in Turkestan: a program for journalists and bloggers from three cities in Kazakhstan.

The right choice when the news can be told: results, a partnership, an appointment, the company’s position. Journalists gather in one room, listen to the speakers and ask questions. What matters here is the order of speeches, lighting and sound for filming, and what the press leaves with.
The right choice when the news has to be seen: technology at work, a production site, a facility, a city. The press is taken to where it is happening, and the program becomes a route. The journey, the stops, time for filming and on-site conversations with experts all become part of the story that later goes on air or into the news feed.
If you need the press at a larger event, such as a forum or a product launch, we build the press component into its program. For more on these formats, see the conferences and product presentations and launches pages.

The press tour took place in Turkestan, where the network was being launched: journalists were not just told about the technology but shown it at work.
A journalist needs material for a story, not a talk about 5G. In Turkestan there was plenty of it: the screen with the 5G speed test, the 5G Turkestan commemorative sign, the media presentation and the equipment on the roof of Farab Library all made it into the frame. That is what goes into a story: a number on the screen, a recognizable place and the equipment itself, next to which a reporter can record a stand-up.
We developed the press tour program and script, invited the participants, arranged flights, transfers and accommodation for the journalists, handled media relations, ran the event and prepared the press materials.
PR support is included in the project when it is needed.

We have done this work at sports tournaments too. At EFC 50 in Astana, we were in charge of the press center, media accreditation and interviews in the press area. At GFC 23 in Almaty in 2019, we prepared the press conference where Khabib Nurmagomedov spoke to journalists. We organized both tournaments in full; see the EFC / GFC case study and the sports events page for details.
A press conference in Almaty for local newsrooms and a press tour with participants from several cities have different budgets: in the second case, the budget includes travel, accommodation and transport along the route. Beyond that, the budget depends on the venue and on what journalists are shown on site. We have no standard price list; each event is priced separately.
A press conference is the right choice when the news can be told: results, a partnership, an appointment, the company’s position. A press tour is the right choice when the news has to be seen: technology at work, a production site, a facility, a city. Tell us what you want to show and when the news should come out, and we will tell you whether a room is enough or journalists should be taken to the site.
ROI Group invites journalists to the press conference: we send invitations to a list approved by your press office. We handle media relations and prepare press materials in Kazakh and Russian. PR support is included in the project when the objective calls for it.
ROI Group arranges flights, transfers and accommodation for journalists on a press tour. For the Kcell 5G launch in Turkestan on December 9, 2021, the program brought together journalists and bloggers from three cities in Kazakhstan. Beyond logistics, we developed the program and script, invited the participants and prepared the press materials.
The budget for a press tour includes travel, accommodation and transport along the route, while a press conference for local newsrooms does not have these items. Beyond that, the estimate depends on the venue and on what journalists are shown on site. We have no standard price list; each event is priced separately.
No one can say in advance how many stories will come out of a press conference, because the decision belongs to the newsrooms. Our job is to give a journalist a fact, a shot and a person who can answer questions. At the EFC 50 tournament in Astana, we ran the press center, media accreditation and interviews in the press area, and more than 50 media stories were published about the tournament.
Tell us what you want to show the press, where it can be seen and when the news should come out. We will tell you whether a press conference is enough or whether journalists should be taken to the site.
