An exhibition stand lasts a few days but is built like a small building: it has a design, a load-bearing structure, electrics, lighting and screens. It has to be assembled in the hall during the hours set by the organizer and taken down after the exhibition closes. We run exhibition stand construction as an engineering project: we create the concept and budget ourselves, and the build is done by specialized contractors under our management.

A stand is designed on the exhibition floor plan, so we start by collecting the input data.
Location and open sides. An inline stand faces the aisle on one side, a corner stand on two, a peninsula on three, and an island is open on all sides. This determines where the entrance goes, where the solid walls are and from where visitors will see the display.
Floor space and zones. What has to fit in: product demos, meetings, interactive features, space for the team.
The exhibition’s technical requirements. Every exhibition has its own rules: structure height, rigging, electrics, build-up and dismantling times. We design the stand within these limits from the start rather than adjusting it later.
What you are showing. A product, a technology, a solution for partners: this determines where the screens go on the stand and where the meeting table goes.
| Stage | What happens | Who does it |
|---|---|---|
| Stand concept and design, budget | Concept, zone layout, visuals based on your brand guidelines; budget for the approved design | our team |
| Production | Structures and finishes | specialized contractors, coordinated by us |
| Equipment | Lighting, sound, screens, multimedia and interactive solutions | specialized contractors, coordinated by us |
| Build-up | Assembly in the hall | contractors under our management |
| Dismantling | Taking the stand down after the exhibition closes | contractors under our management |
If the exhibition is abroad, we work with local contractors on site.

In 2018–2019, we built Kazakhtelecom’s stands at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and Shanghai:
| Year | City | Stand |
|---|---|---|
| 2018 | Barcelona | 210 m² |
| 2018 | Shanghai | 210 m² and a 384 m² Networking Garden |
| 2019 | Barcelona | 313 m² |
| 2019 | Shanghai | 70 m² |
Each stand was divided into product demo zones and business meeting zones, with multimedia installations and interactive screens. In Barcelona in 2019, the stand had a meeting area, and in Shanghai an interactive table.
We designed the stands and organized their production, delivery to Spain and China, construction and technical equipment, and coordinated contractors at the venues. The 2019 Shanghai stand was based on our “Digital Heart of Eurasia” concept.
We price each stand for a specific exhibition, so there is no price per square meter. The budget depends on:
If you need to compare options, we will prepare two versions of the budget.
A stand is one part of exhibition participation. If you are preparing your participation as a whole, see exhibition projects. When the technology itself becomes the centerpiece of the stand, with interactive screens and multimedia installations, see interactive and multimedia installations. A brand space at a summit or in a mall falls under brand zones, such as Visa at the banking summit in Baku.
There is no single price per square meter for building an exhibition stand: we price each one for a specific exhibition. The budget depends on floor space and the number of open sides, structural complexity and height, screens and multimedia, the city and country, and the venue’s own services at its own rates. If you need to compare options, we will prepare two versions of the budget.
For an initial exhibition stand layout and estimate, we need the name and dates of the exhibition, the floor plan or your stand number in the hall, the floor space and a couple of lines about what you want to show. From there, we design the project to the exhibition’s technical requirements: structure height, rigging, electrics, build-up and dismantling times.
ROI Group is responsible for building the stand as general contractor: our team handles the concept, design, budget and management. Structures, equipment, build-up and dismantling are handled by specialized contractors, and we coordinate them. If the exhibition is abroad, we work with local contractors on site.
ROI Group built Kazakhtelecom stands at Mobile World Congress ranging from 70 to 313 m². In 2018, that meant 210 m² in Barcelona and 210 m² in Shanghai, plus a 384 m² Networking Garden. In 2019, it was 313 m² in Barcelona and 70 m² in Shanghai, with the Shanghai stand based on our “Digital Heart of Eurasia” concept.
The exhibition stand type sets the number of open sides: an inline stand faces the aisle on one side, a corner stand on two, a peninsula on three, and an island is open on all sides. This determines where the entrance goes, where the solid walls are and from where visitors will see the display. The number of sides also affects the stand budget.
Send us the name and dates of the exhibition, the floor plan or your stand number in the hall, the floor space and a couple of lines about what you want to show. Based on that, we will prepare an initial stand layout and budget.
